Simon Saunders

Emeritus Fellow in Philosophy of Physics at Merton College, Oxford, and one of the leading philosophers working on the Everett (many-worlds) interpretation of quantum mechanics. His work builds the Everettian programme on decoherent-histories theory, and he is part of the Oxford lineage — alongside David Deutsch and David Wallace — associated with deriving the Born rule from decision-theoretic or physical-locality principles rather than postulating it outright. He has also written extensively on the direction and structure of time, and on structural realism in the philosophy of physics.
