Poteto

Poteto builds pstack, a library of agent skills whose centre is verification, and he describes shipping on the order of 2,500 pull requests in a month. The video title places that work at SpaceX.

He was on the React team at Meta, and he worked at Netflix. He took a month off, started a side project, and joined Cursor in March, where he worked on the agents window. He uses Cursor projects, the coordinator agents, as his inner loop. The side project from that break became pstack.

Core positions

Verification is the skill that lets an agent iterate, because the agent can run and see the result. Without it the human remains the proxy, and a loop is not a loop. As models improve, the scarce skill is stating intent clearly. Domain expertise gets more useful, not less.

The engineer’s job, as he sees it, moves onto the environment: lints, types, and conventions that make the wrong change hard. He prefers the picture of a Michelin kitchen to a software factory, because the human’s name is still on the work. Volume comes from coordinator agents fed by an outer loop, and from gardening, not from opening thousands of chats by hand.

Review is a sample, and the fix lands in the kitchen rather than in the one agent that failed. Agents merge only where the domain can be verified programmatically. For work that cannot be checked that way, including the medical, legal, and financial cases Matt put to him, he says he does not have the answer.
