Phyl Terry

Author of Never Search Alone and founder of the Job Search Council movement. Terry has spent decades coaching individuals through career transitions, with a focus on applying product thinking to the process of finding work. She has launched more than 2,000 free peer-led Job Search Councils, available at phyl.org.

Terry developed the candidate market fit concept and the associated toolkit — the Mnookin two-pager, the listening tour, and the job mission with OKRs — as a systematic alternative to the unstructured job search most professionals undertake.
