Key positions

  • Wealth vs. status. Wealth is assets that earn while you sleep; status is rank in a social hierarchy. Wealth creation is positive-sum; status competition is zero-sum. Avoid status games.
  • Specific knowledge. The path to wealth runs through knowledge you cannot be trained for — found by pursuing genuine curiosity rather than following what is fashionable.
  • Four types of leverage. Labour, capital, code, and media. Code and media have no marginal cost of replication and require no one’s permission — the most powerful leverage available to individuals today.
  • Escape competition through authenticity. Copying others creates competition; being fully yourself eliminates it. The internet allows any niche obsession to find its audience.
  • Vibe coding as new product management. AI coding agents have made English a programming language; vibe coding has the leverage profile of product management without the engineering bottleneck.
