Author of Evidence-Guided: Creating High-Impact Products in the Face of Uncertainty (2023). Key ideas

  • GIST framework: Goals, Ideas, Steps, Tasks — a meta-framework for evidence-guided product development integrating lean startup, design thinking, agile, and growth.
  • Confidence meter: a tiered calibration tool for ICE’s confidence dimension; ranges from 0 (self-conviction) to 10 (AB test).
  • Outcome roadmaps: commit to goals by date, not features; release roadmaps pre-commit solutions and suppress discovery.
  • Time to outcomes, not time to production: the correct metric for evidence-guided teams is how fast they get the right bits to production, not how fast they ship anything.
