Githae Githinji

Transport businessman and Kikuyu elder based near Tatu City, Kiambu County, Kenya. He owns and operates matatus and other small commercial vehicles, and serves as chairman of the local council of elders, where his duties include dispute resolution and coordinating community ceremonies — most recently the cleansing ceremony for a Mugumo tree moved into Tatu City [?]. He is 58 [?] and belongs to the Agikuyu community, born and raised in Mukurweini, Nyeri County, before moving to Kiambu County for work.

Githinji left his home area after finishing secondary school (Form 4) to look for better job opportunities, settling in Ruiru and later Kiambu, where he built his business and now resides; he returns to Mukurweini to visit family rather than to live.
