Co-founder and CEO of Snap, the parent company of Snapchat. Built one of the only durable consumer social platforms from scratch — Snapchat launched in 2010 and now has over one billion monthly active users and $6B+ in annual revenue. Snapchat Plus has over 25 million subscribers. Stanford product design programme (mechanical engineering department); also studied at Art Center and Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. Co-founded Snap with Bobby Murphy. Credited as inventor of Stories, the Snapchat AR lens platform (millions of developer-built lenses), swipe-based navigation, and Spectacles / Specs (AR glasses). Bobby Murphy created Snap’s generative AI lab approximately a decade ago — real-time machine learning on-device face transformations were some of the earliest applied generative AI in consumer products.
