Managing director and group partner at Y Combinator; joined YC ~2013 and has worked across 21+ batches. Worked closely in the earliest days of Brex, Retool, Instacart, DoorDash, Webflow, Replit, Amplitude, Whatnot, Razorpay, and 20+ other unicorns. Prior to YC: co-founder and CEO of imeem (social music platform, acquired by Myspace) and App.net (early ad-free Twitter competitor). Founded PicPlz in 2010 (mobile photo sharing), which briefly competed with what became Instagram; Andreessen Horowitz was on his board and consequently could not invest in Instagram (conflict of interest). Co-hosts the “Dalton & Michael” YouTube/podcast series with Michael Seibel.
