Co-author (with Colin Bryar) of Working Backwards: Insights, Stories, and Secrets from Inside Amazon. Joined Amazon in 1999 — five years after founding — and spent 15 years there, working first on the books business and then as VP of Digital Media, where he launched and managed Amazon Music, Prime Video, and Amazon Studios. After Amazon: Executive in Residence at Maveron (early-stage VC), then COO at OfferUp. Currently runs Working Backwards LLC, a consulting firm that helps growth-stage and public companies implement Amazon’s management practices.
