Andrew Bosworth

Known as Boz. CTO of Meta; approximately the tenth employee at Facebook (joined January 2006). Built News Feed (the first algorithmically ranked social feed and first consumer AI on a website), mobile ads, and messaging infrastructure. Now leads Reality Labs — the division responsible for Quest headsets, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, and AR/VR research. Previously held roles as VP of Ads and Business Platform and VP of AR/VR.

Grew up in Silicon Valley; saw the dot-com boom and bust first-hand. Has a Veritas tattoo reflecting a core commitment to truth. Amateur photographer (wardenshortbow.com — an anagram of his name).
