Matt Zeigler is a co-host of Excess Returns, an investing podcast that takes complex market topics — value and factor investing, macro, market structure — and makes them usable for long-term investors. He hosts alongside Jack Forehand and Justin Carbonneau of Validea Capital, and draws frequently on outside investors as guest co-hosts.

The show’s premise is that better questions lead to better decisions: long-form interviews with practitioners, run to surface how they actually reason rather than to chase market calls.
